Cash Management Services

The IAS Cash Management System provides an efficient and economical method for religious congregations to monitor and manage their cash balances. IAS works with the bank, finance office, and all houses to provide accurate and uniform monthly financial reports. These reports show the income and expense of the local houses.

All houses can operate out of one central checking account. Or, as an option, each house can maintain separate checking accounts.

Institutional Automated Systems (IAS), a member of the Zielinski Companies' family of services, was formed in 1968 to provide specialized financial services to religious treasurers. Since its introduction, the IAS Cash Management System has proven to be a valuable service to religious treasurers. Over the years, our services have adapted to the shifting needs of religious communities.

IAS Features

  • The bank of your choice can be used for the IAS Cash Management System.
  • You may have as many or as few houses on the system as you would like.
  • You may have any number of members (even as few as one member) in each house.
  • Various reports (comprehensive to simple) are available depending on your needs.
  • Consolidated financial reports available monthly, quarterly, annually, or upon request.
  • The reports can also include budgets.

IAS Reports

A complete range of IAS reports is available. These reports include:

  • Balance sheet
  • Income statement
  • Account summary
  • Checking register
  • Deposit register

IAS cash management reports are available either in a hardcopy format delivered through the mail or over a secure, password protected Internet connection.

If the Internet option is selected, treasurers can receive their monthly reports as soon as they are processed. Prior period reports also can be easily accessed for quick reference.

This unique IAS cash management feature means that local treasurers can immediately review their balances at month end. At the same time, congregational treasurers have instant access to a variety of critical summary reports, as well as detailed reports on the activity of houses. Financial control for the congregational treasurer is enhanced, and the local treasurer's effectiveness is increased.

Benefits of Cash Management

  • Financial oversight and control is enhanced through a variety of critical and timely summary reports and detailed reports on individual houses.
  • The workload of the local treasurer is greatly reduced.
  • A member of the community without bookkeeping experience can handle the tasks related to the local treasurer's position.
  • Potential reduction of bank fees.
Funds can be pooled from individual house checking accounts enabling the congregation to earn interest income on the investment of excess funds.
